Project Overview

This project encompasses the removal and replacement of pavement on Taxiway Echo from Taxiway Sierra to Taxiway Papa and North Apron (Lima Pad). It also includes the removal of Taxiway Echo from Runway 6-24 to Taxiway Sierra and the construction of a connector island between Taxiway Delta and Taxilane Charlie. New shoulders, grading, drainage and edge lights are included in the taxiway project.
The taxiway and north apron reconstruction work involves removing the existing PCC pavement and subbase replacing this with new PCC pavement. The existing concrete pavement will be recycled and re-used as the 4″ base layer and the 18″ thick layer of pavement rubble. The construction of the new shoulders will consist of 6″ asphalt on 6″ cement treated open graded base course.
