Project Overview

Millstone Weber (MW) served as the General Contractor for this project at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, which involved the reconstruction of Taxiway Echo from Taxiway Sierra to Taxiway Papa, reconstruction of the North Apron (Lima Pad), removal of Taxiway Echo from Runway 6-24 to Taxiway Sierra, and construction of a connector island between Taxiway Delta and Taxilane Charlie. Work progressed at a rapid pace, over extended hours, nights, and weekends, due to the projects’ impact to existing Runways and Concourse C. Reconstruction of Taxiway Echo required the closure of Runway 6-24 and Runway 12L-30R due to work requirements within the Runway Safety Area, and Glide Slope and Departure Surface intrusion. Extensive traffic control measures were implemented to complete work at the North Apron, due to its proximity to Concourse C and the number of aircraft taxiing through the ramp area. Construction on this project began in April 2015 and was completed on-time in October 2015.
