Project Details

In 2016, Millstone Weber (MW) was awarded a contract for the Sycamore Valley Lake Dam Outlet and Channel Remediation Improvements Phase 1 & 2 Project. Phase 1 of the project included modification of the existing spillway, construction of a new concrete drop box structure and sheet-pile cut-off wall, and installation of 1,000 linear feet of 84" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) to control channel erosion from the existing 90-acre Sycamore Valley Lake during heavy rain events. As work on Phase 1 progressed, Phase 2 - North Drainage and Access Road, was added to MW's contract. The scope of work for Phase 2 included excavation for the overflow channel and installation of large stone ditch liner with filter fabric adjacent to the 84" RCP to limit future erosion.
