Project Details

Millstone Weber (MW) was awarded this project with BNSF Railway (BNSF) in mid-2019 to perform civil construction services for the extension of a fourth Main Track through BNSF's Winslow, Arizona Yard. The project scope included excavation and grading for new track alignment, installation of subballast, removal of an existing pedestrian overpass during a coordinated track outage, and widening of an existing 13-span bridge over Ruby Wash just east of the Yard. The bridge widening included installation of temporary shoring at both abutments due to the proximity to existing tracks. Construction on this project began in August 2019 and was substantially complete in mid-November 2019.
